Class Project
Southern Life - Pre-Civil Rights Movement.
The purpose of this research project is to understand the roles and circumstances of various "character types" in southern culture after the Civil War but before the Civil Rights Movement. The general era we are are looking at is the 1930s to 1950s, though we may gain insight from research outside of that time frame.

- black sharecroppers
- white businessman
- southern lady
- white schoolchildren
